For bookworms, another year just means new book release in a
series we’ve been reading on in the past years or so.
Definitely what I’m most excited about is The Ruby Circle.
This will be the final book of the spin-off of the Vampire Academy Series,
Bloodlines. I just can’t wait for Sydney and Adrian to be happy and have peace
and stability with the Morois and the Damphirs, especially with the Alchemists!
After 12 books, I really, really want Morois and Damphirs and their world to have
resolved whatever needs to be resolved.
Not that I can’t wait for it to end, it’s just that six
books, not including VA series, just seem to be a lot of suffering for my Adrian.
I just want him to be happy at last in the arms of Sydney Sage and live a
peaceful life, without the spirit driving him to the edge. This is a series,
wherein I as a reader, will be content with whatever end may come, as long as
it’s a happy one, ofcourse. I will be sad, but it I know I could always come
back at St. Vladimir’s.
Ransom Rigg’s 3rd book is on my top 2. The end of Hollow
City really frustrated me. Now this is a series that I would want to read more on.
Anything Cassandra Clare I’ll read. Holly Black is awesome as well. So sad I
just recently knew about her in Iron Trial. The Darkest Part of the Forest had
already been released but I don’t have my copy yet.
OH EM GEEE…!! Like really, Rainbow is writing a book about
Baz and Simon??? I just knew about it looking through Goodreads! Okay, this is
probably my number 2 most looked forward book to read for this year! Hell yeah!
Another Day and PS I Still Love You are sort of obligatory
since they’re sequels to books I’ve read. Seriously, Every Day and To All the
Boys I’ve Loved Before were already great as stand-alone books… but yeah, I’d
read them anyway.
I just want to find out if Magnus Chase is really related to
Annabeth Chase. Hehehe…

I have officially broken my own record of books read in a year. Last year I was only able to read 32 books. I was really disappointed about it, but it was all good because I was able to read lots of great books last year.
The 33rd book that I just finished reading is Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Reptile Room. I started reading this earlier this year and only got around to finishing it upon realizing the next book I finish will be the book that breaks my record.
I felt a little guilty that I didn't put time in reading this book, because I really wanted to finish the whole series. I kept putting it on hold because of new books that I would start to read and forget about The Reptile Room. To appease myself of the guilt, I promised to finish reading it and make it historical by making it the record breaker.
November is in a week, do I still have the time to reach 50 books? Let's get it on!

Bloomsbury has announced that they will be re-releasing the Harry Potter series’ children’s editions this September.
The line of Harry Potter books has been refreshed “inside out” for the latest print run. The covers are designed by Jonny Duddle who was selected by Bloomsbury and J.K. Rowling.
In the back of the book readers will find an expanded biography on author J.K. Rowling as well as some “highlights” from Pottermore.
Bloomsbury says that “the editions will also be reset to create a child-friendly reading experience for a new generation of readers.” X
90 years after J.R.R. Tolkien translated the poem Beowulf, it will be published by Harper Collins.That's exciting news for all Literary Geeks out there! I know I am!

I started reading Frostbite by Richelle Mead last week but it got cut off cause of my school work since finals are near. Lots of papers to pass and a report to prepare for.
I also started reading The School for Good and Evil 2. I don't think its anything official yet, but the start is actually good.
I also must read the Great Gatsby for a paper I'll be doing.
I hope I can finish anything within theweek, but very unlikely since I think I'll be busy figuring out what to do with my paper and report, and eventually do it the day before I actually have to submit, report it.
I hate my being great at procastination.

The new covers of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series is by John Rocco, the same artist that did the old covers. So are you digging it?
Yeah, it's fine. Not a lot of difference but still cool that there's something new going on with them.
Speaking of new, Rick Riordan, the author of the series has three more books set to be released this year. Isn't it exciting? The first is "The Staff of Seraphis," in which Annabeth Chase will be meeting Sadie Kane, a character from his other series, The Kane Chronicles, to be released on April 8th. The second book is "Percy Jackson and the Greek Gods," to be released the day after Percy's birthday, August 19th. Lastly, the one I'm sure we're most eager about, "The Blood of Olympus," the final installment in the Percy Jackson series, The Heroes of Olympus, set to be released on October 7th. Ugh! So loooong!
But we, from camp hafl-blood, we will wait!

I'm the type to stay loyal to the book that's why I sometimes hate adaptations for not sticking with the story in the books. Anyhoo, we're not talking about movies here.
